We greatly appreciate your consideration to donating toward our work. We are not a commercial school, and I keep the culture of our Tai Chi & Kung Fu school as I was taught by Sifu Chin. We do not require students to by special uniforms, or shoes, we do not have any belt system, nor do have any special test, that a student pays for. We do require students to work and make effort to get better, and if we do that, we are successful. This isn't always easy, but the environment helps people heal, get stronger, find confidence, and make it through rough life patches and we take on community services on an individual basis. Specifically here are services and projects your donations will support: - Single moms who can't afford daycare, yet need assistance to calm their hearts and minds, to learn protective skills, and get their lives back on track. - Kids who are in need of some structure and we provide a presence at little to no cost. - Older adults who can't pay their deductable's, need medical care, and have been told that Chikung and Tai Chi will assist them. - Providing, when necessary free care to those people in pain with accupressure, meditation, chi brushing, heat lamps, cupping, etc. - We are asked to help young people learn meditation, relaxation, so they can better study. We don't accept payment for this, nor do take any marketing material, not even a business card. Maybe not smart business, but it feels right. - Donations are made to the Jimmy V Foundation - We occassionally assist abused women and give them resources and skills to find a safe way home and out of their circumstances. - We contribute to kids in Tibet who need shelter and food. Our contribution ensures that the young person gets at least one bowl of rice each day. - Website maintainance and research. Continue to provide a resource of good information. |
