“Dear Sifu TW Smith,
My name is Paul and I've been listening to your podcasts, Tibetan Kung Fu and KungFu Podcasts, for about a month and a half now. I've kept up on recent episodes and have gone back to some older ones in the archive when I found some time to do so.
I really enjoy your show and it's been nice to hear someone talk about martial arts in the way that you do. It's particularly nice to hear you talk about how the lessons of the martial arts apply to aspects of your life outside of training as well as the philosophical subjects you cover. Your voice fits very well with podcasting. I really enjoy your shows and want to encourage you to keep up the good work. The positivity of your shows is truly inspiring."
Paul

"Wow, I can't praise enough. I found these today and feel like I hit the jackpot. Sifu Smith, what a generous service you are providing. Beyond the wisdom and compassion you convey, the fact that you are providing these through a non-cost podcast conveys even more to me. It's not so easy to find consistent and high quality instruction or content for free. Practically nothing is free anymore. What I have learned already is invaluable, so thank you, thank you. You are a good person and a good representative of what you teach."

Listener Messaged me about the "10 Habits of Worry Podcast"

I just finished listening to the last Tibetan Kung fu episode about worrying. Best episode I've heard so far. It came at just the right time in my life and I appreciate it. Well done and thank you.

Jeff Mak wrote in to Introduce himself

Hello Mr Smith,

I'm contacting you for two reasons. First is to tell you I've recently discovered your pod cast and enjoy it. I appreciate your efforts and the way you approach the topics you cover.

I practice Kung-fu San soo, it's proper name is Tsoi, Li, Ho, Fut, Hung; however San soo is the commonly used short hand. I've studied for several years and I currently live and practice in eastern Idaho. I also practice Cheng Man Ching style Tai Chi as well as sitting meditation. There is a young man who has been coming to the kung fu studio who is very new and whose parents and he are moving to North Carolina. At this time I don't know what city or town. He is hoping to find a place to practice and I am suggesting to Parker that he seek you out.

Thanks again for the podcast.

Salute, Jeff Mak

Hi, I just wanted to leave a message and say how much I'm enjoying listening to your podcast that you produce. I will be sharing this podcast with my son and daughter, so that they may benefit from the gift you're sharing with others. I'm working on moving my family to Raleigh in the near future and would love to start training under your instruction. Again, thanks for making the effort in producing such a valuable resource. Sincerely, - Email from Mr. Davis in Rocky Mount, NC 2/2/2015

Hey Sifu! Hope you've been doing great and everyone at the kwoon. It's been a long time but I wanted to drop you a text to say thanks for planting many resilient seeds years ago.

They are still growing and have been helpful tools in the development of my personal life kung fu. I use that term, not in a martial sense, but I hope to at some point, with the proper mindset, have the opportunity to learn the martial aspect in depth as a part of it.

I'm not going to say that Im coming by at any point soon because I don't know. Life is fluid and Ive learned that when I intend to do something it's better just to do it rather than talk about it lol. Best wishes to you and everyone on your end. - Jon

Email I received Oct 10, 2014:

Hi Sifu,

I wanted to let you know that having the Private Kung Fu family area is an invaluable resource for me. Today, it helped me get through a tough moment of anger/irritation.

So now, I have posted with you, remembered to breathe, and calmed down enough where I can stretch-out, relax, and continue my evening without the anger that was brewing. I still feel a little dirty from the anger, so I'm heading back to the park (had a 2 hour fun practice earlier today) to do some Taoist elemental posting.

Thanks for putting all these things together. You are literally helping to save lives.

Respect and love,
Travis

8/2014: Question We Recently Received:

"My Dad is 76 years old and lives in Wilson with his wife. Both would benefit from Tai Chi and seem to be curious about it. Does your school have a Tai Chi component that seniors would enjoy? I'm trying to find a program to get them started in. But it needs to be very calm, low pressure etc (I've seen some very paradoxical approaches to teaching Tai Chi; my folks need very friendly and laid back, likely with no tests, etc)." Our Response : "Our atmosphere is relaxed and I respect the care you are taking for your family. Let me know and we will meet you soon."

Email from South China

Sifu Smith, My apologies for the late response. I have been traveling the last month and just returned home. I really enjoyed checking out several articles on the kung fu podcast and reading about your background and heart for the treasures of life and the Chinese martial arts. Very cool. I appreciate your willingness to share a little about our efforts through our for purpose company. If you believe what we do will be interesting and encouraging to those who view the podcast I would be glad to write something up or answer any questions you may have. I am currently in SE China so my responses would be slightly delayed because of the difference in time. Thank you for your contributions to helping people live longer, healthier, and happier lives. Blessings, Shifu Stan Pawolaski

Stephen's Text / Friday, August 22, 2014 : "Good morning Sifu! I just discovered your podcast recently. I have been listening. You are doing an amazing job. I listen to many podcasts and yours is one of the best - and the best for me as far as content. I appreciate you taking the time to share with us in this way. Even though I am out of shape and practice, I would like to come in sometime if you have the time."

Bruce K. sent me this email: "I want to thank you for the introductory class. It was great! I've been practicing what I learned that day."
